Douglas Horton ( 1891-1968 ) was born in Brooklyn, New York . He received a BA from Princeton University in 1912 and a BD from Hartford Theological Seminary in 1915 . In 1915, he also was ordained to the Congregationalist ministry. He served congregations in Middletown, Connecticut ; Brookline, Massachusetts ; and Chicago, Illinois .
